ONLINE REVIEW:  BUDDY BETA T.V.
The Chelsea Handler Show is named after well, Chelsea Handler. She creates entertaining sketches mocking television, entertainment, celebrities, the elderly, herself, and just about everything else. Nothing is spared on this hilariously original show. Chelsea Handler first received acclaim as one of Jay Leno's correspondents and later became the star of Oxygen Network's Girls Behaving Badly. She is an up and coming star, and The Chelsea Handler Show is a refreshing sketch show that is on par or better than Saturday Night Live.

ONLINE REVIEW:  TV GUIDE - KELVINGTON’S CORNER
I have to be honest, I hadn’t really heard of the Chelsea Handler before I started seeing promo’s for her show, but then again, I hadn’t heard of Conan O’Brian before either. But I have to admit this is a hilarious show! How the hell did E! get a hold of this one? It should be on Comedy Central or NBC.

Now I know that reviewers will make comparison’s to this show and "Chappelle's Show" or others like “The Mind Of Mencia”, and there are some minor similarities, all these shows have a comedian come out and do a little standup then go into filmed bits. But that’s where the similarities end. “The Chelsea Handler Show” is running several IQ points above the other shows. Instead of being racially charged, she is more socially charged. How many shows would do a parody of “Dinner for Five”? I’ll tell you how many, NONE! Because only a few people even know what “Dinner for Five” is. But it turned out to be one of the best bits in the show.

If the rest of the series is as good as this, and this isn’t just an example of a very well written pilot, then I see really big things for Ms. Handler. Her ability to make fun of herself and the world in general is a refreshing change from the shows mentioned above. Also by not featuring herself in every single skit she’s gone from clever actress to someone who can actually make a point without being on screen.

From what I’ve seen of this show, Chelsea Handler is one of the funniest people on TV, not just one of the funniest women. Her lovely good looks, and great smile add to the fact that when she is drawing down on you with great jab, she looks like a million bucks doing it. Not to many shows would do a gay version of “The Apprentice” complete with a “better than Martha Stewart” tag line. But Chelsea’s was dead on and wickedly funny.

My only question would be, how could I get this woman out on a date? Smart, funny, sexy, and good looking? She could certainly be a future Ex-Mrs. Kelvington.

ONLINE REVIEW: TV SQUAD  |  BLOGGING TELEVISION
My new favorite program is The Chelsea Handler Show on E! I laughed myself silly last weekend when I watched her series premiere. Handler's show is a combination of her stand-up and comedy sketches. She did a sketch with celebrity impersonators that spoofed Jon Favreau's Dinner for Five on IFC. She asked the Tom Cruise impersonator how long it takes alien babies to hatch and wondered whether "that closet you're in locks from the inside".
She also did a hilarious interview with a couple that had a one night stand, and you can see it here on YouTube (the quality of the video isn't great). There's also video of her stand-up routine at The Hollywood Improv in LA, but warning: it's not clean. Her comedy is self-deprecating, but also takes some shots at all sorts of minority groups. It's gutsy comedy that ends up being really funny, yet slightly uncomfortable. The best kind!

Chelsea Handler’s not just another pretty face. She plans to cut through the crap to tackle important issues like border patrol, peace in the middle east and when Britney Spears is going to start covering up her hot-pocket with some goddamned underwear! Stick around you might learn something.
